Participant Terms

On this page
In short: take part honestly. The content is for awareness, not medical advice. Your certificate shows that you completed the campaign at a certain level, and nothing more.
These terms apply when you open a campaign link or QR code on Askofy, or try the demo. Each campaign also has its own Terms & Conditions, shown before you start. Those say who runs the campaign and how your details are used. If they differ from these terms, the campaign's Terms & Conditions apply for that campaign.
1. Taking part
- Taking part is voluntary and free for you. Some organisations may ask employees to complete a campaign as part of their work.
- Enter your own, real name. It appears on your certificate.
- Take the quiz yourself. Do not use scripts or tools to change answers or scores, share answers to get a certificate dishonestly, or take it in someone else's name.
2. Levels
Some campaigns have two levels. Basic covers the essentials. Advanced adds detail for curious minds and gives its own certificate. The organisation decides which levels each type of participant can take. Some people go straight through the full course to Advanced.
3. Under 18
If you are under 18, or under the age of digital consent where you live, take part only if your parent or guardian agrees, or your school or organisation has their consent. You will be asked to confirm this. We do not offer optional updates to anyone under 18.
4. Your details
The campaign's Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy explain what is collected and why. In brief:
- the organisation that invited you can see your name, details, score, level and completion
- your answers may be used anonymously for research
- you can ask for your details to be corrected or deleted at any time
5. Not medical advice
The content teaches general awareness. It cannot tell you whether you or someone else is unwell, and it does not replace a doctor. If you see warning signs of a stroke, heart attack or any emergency, call your local emergency number straight away (108 or 112 in India, 112 in the EU and many other countries, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US and Canada). See the Health & Content Disclaimer.
6. Certificates
Your certificate confirms that you completed the campaign, the level and the score you achieved. It is not a medical, professional or academic qualification. Anyone with its code or QR can check it on our verification page. See the Certificate Policy.
7. Sharing
You are welcome to share your certificate and share cards. Do not edit them to change names, levels, scores or logos.
8. Voice, video and your device
- Voice: narration uses your device's built-in voice. Some devices send the text being read, which can include your first name, to their maker's online voice service.
- Video: videos from YouTube or Vimeo load only when you press play, and their own policies then apply.
- Progress: your progress is saved on your device so you can continue later. Clear your browser data to remove it.
9. Ending your participation
You can stop at any time. A certificate may be revoked if a campaign is withdrawn, or if the certificate was obtained dishonestly, including by tampering with answers or scores.
10. Help and complaints
Contact the organisation that invited you, or email hello@askofy.com. For complaints, see Grievance Redressal.
